US Students Banned For Writing On “Free Speech Fence”
Free speech until it comes to criticizing Israel. Carnegie Mellon University is in trouble for silencing students.
Here’s what’s going on rn:
· CMU is investigating 10 students & banning 8 of them from campus
· Why? They painted pro-Palestine messages on a 100-year-old "free speech" fence 🎨
· The messages talked about Israel and Palestine - including words from Jewish students criticizing Zionism
· The school called it "threatening" and "antisemitic"
Basically: A school with a famous free speech fence is now punishing people for... using free speech? Make it make sense.
