The Mass Internet Censorship Law Is BACK!

The Kids Online Safety Act is back in Congress, rebranded as child protection while quietly expanding the pressure on platforms to police “harmful” content. On paper, it targets mental health risks and dangerous material. In practice, it hands regulators and state attorneys general more leverage over what platforms allow to circulate online.

That means exactly what you would expect: more algorithmic suppression and more political speech getting buried. Pro-Palestine content and dissenting narratives are always the first to get flagged when compliance becomes a priority. This is how censorship evolves in America.
