The American Governments Reaction to Protests

The American Government in recent history has often labeled antigovernmental protests as riots to justify brutal crackdowns. This is an effective method due to much of the country being largely ignorant of why people in the cities are anti-police and anti-ICE. This is issue is used to divide the country and show the governments power to discourage further protests.
