How Zionism Has Harmed the United States

Zionism has helped to shape US foreign policy in a somewhat unhelpful way. The US seeks to have hegemony over the middle east and uses Israel as a medium to do this. However this goal of hegemony that closely aligns with Zionism causes the US to get involved in unnecessary conflicts. The clearest example of this is Iran. Israel and Iran are enemies. Iran doesn’t have to be an enemy of the US. The US doesn’t need to fight region powers in a region it doesn’t exist in.
