Germany’s post-war doctrine of collective guilt was supposed to mean “never again”… but now it’s being weaponized to basically mean never question Israel.
Germany’s historical shame, once directed toward reckoning with fascism, has been hijacked to justify censorship, criminalize Palestine solidarity, and erode basic rights. Citizens are being forced to choose between conscience and compliance.
The irony is brutal: In trying to atone for one atrocity, Germany now underwrites another.
