In America, we do not tolerate disrespect. And people respect you when you don’t tolerate disrespect.
And for Palestinians, we do not accept anyone to degrade us in ANY WAY. With us or not with us, our dignity is key, and we will call it out when it’s said and spelled out. And especially not a “white” or “westerner”. We can tolerate if it’s from our brothers or sisters, cuz then we take it as internal joke / informalities or likes - given our spoken Arabic is informal. But not from “others”.
Please respect my words and stop convincing me to accept disrespect to my brothers and sisters that endured so much. And start convincing him to change the wording. Convincing him to fix wording is something he’ll appreciate. It’s not insulting anyone.
And this is something you can do for your brothers and sisters in Gaza: make sure everyone is using respectful language. And we will be extremely thankful for you if you do that. Because the campaign to dehumanize us in the US is very strong and is making people attack us in the US. So we need to correct it.

This is a thing that originated with the Zionists and their Critical Theory--weaponization of discussion of fairness so that the argument can always be twisted in their favor.
